Oversized Check Print Maxi Skirt
A theatrical maxi skirt from Stella Jean - the label that draws on its founder’s métissage and Creole ancestry, a dual heritage linking traditional culture with innovation. For this collection, Stella Jean took inspiration from the 11th Berlin Olympics games of 1936, paying homage to the friendship between African American athlete Jesse Owens and the German Luz Long. Celebrating the bond between sports and visual arts, this slightly starchy skirt embodies the speed and strength of the athletes through striking patterns, rich hues and a sturdy form. Characterised by a striped lurex waistband, this vibrantly patterned skirt will be the centre piece of a show-stopping ensemble.
